About GeldGegenWare

GeldGegenWare is a German online trade-in service that buys used entertainment media from private individuals. The site focuses on categories such as video games, books, DVDs, Blu-rays, and other similar media products. Customers can search for their items, receive an automated fixed-price offer, and sell their goods directly to the company without listing fees or auctions. The process is designed to be straightforward: users register, submit the items they want to sell, and then ship them to the company’s logistics center in Berlin. Once the items are received and checked, payment is made to the seller according to the agreed prices. The service targets people who want to quickly monetize used media they no longer need, rather than selling each item individually through marketplaces. GeldGegenWare emphasizes repeat usage, as many registered users sell multiple times. The company operates within the broader online recommerce and buyback market, which focuses on reusing and reselling pre-owned items. Its business model centers on aggregating used media, likely refurbishing or grading them, and then reselling them through appropriate channels.
